It was agreed that CEPP hopes to bring the proposal to the faculty in the spring. Breslin also reported that he had a meeting with Vice President for Academic Affairs Susan Kress, who would like CEPP to consider adding technological and/or visual literary to the CEPP writing proposal. Discussion ensued and the tentative consensus was that this was a worthy issue, but that it probably should not be added to an already lengthy proposal. It was agreed that we would discuss the matter again. Matthew Hockenos shared a revised version of the CEPP writing proposal. It was discussed at length, point by point. Numerous revisions were suggested and Hockenos agreed to work on them and to re-circulate the (yet again) revised proposal. At this point, CEPP welcomed Phil Boshoff, Director of the ┬щ╢╣╞╞╜т░ц College Writing Center, who was invited to share his ideas and expertise regarding the writing proposal. CEPP was especially interested in BoshoffТs perspectives on the possible appointment of a college-wide Director of Expository Writing and the proposed hiring of professionals to work at the Writing Center alongside peer tutors. Boshoff expressed enthusiasm for these ideas, with some caveats, most of which were related to the potential misuse (by students) of the writing professionals. Boshoff also shared some interesting, useful ideas for enhancing and administering the Writing Center, which CEPP agreed to take under advisement. CEPP expressed its appreciation for BoshoffТs time and insight.
