Minutes from the last meeting were amended and approved. Minutes for the meeting of October 20 were amended and approved. I. ACOP update: Dan introduced CEPP’s 2005 “Guidelines For ТщЖЙЦЦНтАц’s Academic Affiliations” and domestic exchange programs. Based on these guidelines, discussion ensued regarding which ACOP proposals should go to the faculty for a vote and which ones CEPP could approve and announce to the faculty at the next faculty meeting. It was decided that the exchange agreement with Spelman College does not need a faculty vote, nor does the pilot program for Mysore, India. Dan will announce both of these new programs at the faculty meeting. The articulation agreement with Rensselaer does have to go to the faculty for a vote, as does the termination of the current India program. At the Friday faculty meeting, faculty will be asked to vote on the articulation agreement with Rensselaer. Dan will introduce the motion for terminating the India program, which will be voted on at the December faculty meeting. II. Ann Henderson, Michael Ennis-McMillan, and Muriel Poston joined CEPP to discuss the continuation of the 2004 Articulation Agreement with Schenectady County Community College. CEPP agreed with Ann, Michael, and Muriel that this is a very successful program that should continue. As a result of this program’s success, the College is considering articulation agreements with other community colleges in New York. III. Terry Diggory reported for the Curriculum Committee subcommittee for the writing initiative. Discussion ensued regarding timing for the subcommittee’s proposal to go to Curriculum Committee, when Curriculum Committee will report to CEPP, and whether there were any plans to hire a new writing director. The meeting was adjourned at 10:00 AM.
