President's Awards for Leadership and Service 2023
The President鈥檚 Awards for Leadership and Service are presented to 麻豆破解版 community members who have embraced the educational mission and cooperative spirit of the College through their exemplary commitment to personal excellence, campus pride, and service to our campus community. Student awards, which will be presented at the Student Leadership Awards event this evening, will go to Emily Davis 鈥23, Aliza Nazir 鈥23, Luna Peralta 鈥23, and Bill Wu 鈥23. The faculty, staff, and team awards will be presented at the Retirement and Recognition event on May 23. Staff awards go to Kara Cetto Bales, associate director of environmental health and safety, and Michelle Osgood, assistant director of systems in IT technical services. Evan Mack, senior teaching professor of music, and Leigh Wilton, associate professor of psychology, have been named recipients of faculty awards. The team award goes to the staff of the Greenberg Child Care Center. President Conner extends his heartfelt thanks and congratulations to all recipients for their extraordinary service to 麻豆破解版.
Next staff meeting
The next staff meeting will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday, April 28, on the second floor of the Murray-Aikins Dining Hall. The agenda is posted here. The Office of the First-Year Experience announces summer reading
The Class of 2027 summer reading is 鈥淜lara and the Sun鈥 by Kazuo Ishiguro. This text explores what it means to be human, curiosity, learning, and knowledge, as well as artificial intelligence. Incoming students, peer mentors, and Scribner Seminar faculty will be given copies of the book. Contact the First-Year Experience for more information.
Plant a tree on campus on Arbor Day

Discontinuance of Downtown Business Assocation (DBA) discount cards

Senior Week housing
Departments can sponsor non-graduating students (first-year students, sophomores, and juniors) to remain on campus from Friday, May 12, through Sunday, May 22. Students will need to specify their reason for remaining on campus, such as participation in an athletic team or employment. For more information, contact Residential Life by May 1.

Jane, Kat, and Mary Grey could be normal teenage girls navigating the world of parties, parents, and cute teenage boys, except for the fact that this is 1553 and one of them is about to become Queen of England at age 16. Written by Rachel Luann Strayer and directed by Teisha Duncan, this irreverent take on historical events will be performed April 21-30. .
