Â鶹Æƽâ°æ Cares ‌

‌Â鶹Æƽâ°æ Cares — the annual campus-wide effort to support individuals and families in need in the Saratoga community — is now in its 19th year. to learn about ways to support local community organizations. Collected items can be dropped off at Scribner House Carriage House from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 20 and 21. A collection box will be available outside the carriage house for after-hours donations.

‌Strategic planning office hours 

‌All faculty, staff, and students are invited to share their thoughts about Strategic Planning and other matters with President Conner and Vice President of Strategic Planning and Institutional Diversity Joshua Woodfork during office hours from 1:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 6. ‌Call for white paper proposals for Strategic Plan ‌ ‌â¶ÄŒâ¶ÄŒ

‌What do you think is most important to advancing Â鶹Æƽâ°æ as a leading liberal arts college over the next five years and beyond? The community is invited to submit one-page white papers with ideas for what we should add, expand, continue, revise, or sunset to support our future, weighing-in on any of the five strategic themes: Creativity and academic excellence; endowment for need-based financial aid; the residential student experience; Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion; and sustainability. Permanent closure of Broadview campus branch 

‌The campus branch of will permanently close at the close of business on Friday, Nov. 15. Broadview customers can continue to use nearby locations at 7 Lowes Drive in Wilton and 2439 Route 9 in Malta. Note that Adirondack Trust Company operates an ATM in Case Center.

‌Campus air conditioning 

‌With fall weather temperatures approaching, Facilities Services has begun the process of shutting down the chiller plant. The following buildings will not have air conditioning: Old Dana, Case, Ladd, Bolton, Palamountain, Scribner Library, Barrett, Wait, Tisch, JKB Theater, Jonsson Tower, and Howe Rounds. ‌

Athletics News

It is the final week of the regular season for most fall teams. Men’s and women’s soccer look to lock up playoff spots both with conference games against Union and Bard. The men will be home for both, hosting the Garnet Chargers at 7 p.m. on Wednesday for the team’s Stable Game before Senior Day at 2 p.m. on Saturday against Bard. The swimming and diving teams have their home opener starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday against Union.
