In this episode of “The Last Class with Professor Ron Seyb,” a series where longtime Â鶹ĆĆ˝â°ć Political Science Professor Ron Seyb — with his signature wisdom and wit — analyzes election-related topics, Seyb discusses the importance of money to a political campaign.

‌As Seyb recalls, Mark Hanna, William McKinley’s money man in the 1896 presidential election, once stated, “There are two things that are important in politics. The first is money, and I can’t remember what the second one is."

‌‌Student video contest: 'Make a Difference — Register and Vote!'

Students are invited to create 30- to 60-second videos encouraging eligible voters to make a game plan for voting in the Nov. 5 election and/or inform voters about important issues. The competition will run through Monday, Nov. 4. Videos must be nonpartisan and cannot support, demean, or defame any political party or person. Further information and guidelines are available online. Prizes will be awarded to winning teams.
