2019 Arts Quad Party

MDOCS started off the Fall semester with what has become one of our favorite Fall traditions - The Arts Quad Party. Students posed in our boomerang-photobooth while learning more about the arts programs Â鶹Æƽâ°æ has to offer.

2019 Adirondack Film Festival

In October, four MDOCS-affiliated films headed to the Adirondack Film Festival - Directed by Aggie Ebrahimi Bazaz (a 2016 MDOCS Storytellers’ Institute Fellow); Directed by Liv Fidler,’19; Directed by Sarah Maacha, ’20; Directed by Mary Brimmer, ’19 and Sarah Jensen, '18.

2019 Adirondack Film Festival

The Adirondack Film Festival hosted a special event with the team behind How to Tell a True Immigrant Story, including a Q&A onstage discussing the regional issues of labor, migration, and social inequality that motivated the film, as well as the process of creating a 360Ëš VR documentary film around them. 2019 Adirondack Film Festival

MDOCS partnered with the festival to provide discounted passes to Â鶹Æƽâ°æ community members along with a few selected sponsored student spots that were able to enjoy the festival activities all weekend.

How To Tell A True Immigrant Story hosted a Saratoga community screening at Caffe Lena in partnership with the Saratoga Immigrant Coalition.

The screening was followed by an audience dialogue facilitated by students from Â鶹Æƽâ°æ's Intergroup Relations Program (IGR) and moderated by Co-Producer on the film Emily Rizzo '18.

2019 Fall Schick Pop-Up Exhibit
