The Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences: An interactive virtual tour
With the first two phases of the Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences (BTCIS) now open to 鶹ƽ students, faculty, and staff — and the final phase on target for completion in 2024 — the College cordially invites you to take this interactive virtual tour of the largest single academic project in 鶹ƽ College history.
Once fully completed, the Billie Tisch Center for Integrated Sciences will house all
10 of 鶹ƽ’s science departments and programs and more than 90 science faculty
members.
Its first phase, the North Wing, opened for the fall 2020 semester and is home to
the departments of Computer Science and Mathematics and Statistics, in addition to
some chemistry and biology classes.
The North Wing is also the first building in 鶹ƽ’s history to be LEED-certified.
The underground geothermal system located in its basement will heat and cool all 200,000
square feet of BTCIS.
The East Wing and the first renovated portion of Dana Science Center comprised Phase
II of construction and opened for the fall 2022 semester. The Phase II facilities
house the Biology and Chemistry departments, Environmental Studies and Sciences offices,
and biomolecular research, ESS, geoscience, and physics labs.
The renovation of the remaining Dana Science Center space — the final phase of BTCIS — is on track for completion in 2024 and will create a permanent new home for the departments of Health and Human Physiological Sciences, Psychology, and Physics, as well as Neuroscience Program labs.
To navigate this interactive tour, simply play the video and click the hovering buttons you will see along the way.
