Paul ArcieroPaul Arciero, professor of health and human physiological sciences, published  with four 麻豆破解版 College Health and Human Physiological Sciences Department alumni, Brittney Dioneda 鈥15, Margaret Healy 鈥15, Maia Paul 鈥15 and Caitlin Sheridan 鈥15. This study for the first time showed that eating a gluten-free grilled cheese meal lowers the number of calories you burn after eating the meal and reduces feelings of fullness compared to an unprocessed whole food meal, which may impact weight control and obesity risk over the long-term. 

Nurcan Atalan-HelickeNurcan Atalan-Helicke, associate professor and director of the Environmental Studies and Science Program, co-authored 鈥溾 in the journal Food and Foodways. She also published the chapter 鈥溾 in the book 鈥淓nvironmental Activism and the Maternal: Mothers and Mother Earth in Activism and Discourse鈥 (Demeter Press, 2020).

Veena ChandraVeena Chandra, music instructor, has been awarded a New York State Council on the Arts grant though a new 鈥淜eep NYS Creating鈥 grant program in partnership with the New York Foundation for the Arts. These grants are supported by National Endowment for the Arts funding through the CARES Act and will help artists continue their indispensable work within their communities throughout New York. Chandra also received an award from for her collaboration with violist, composer and educator Tsuna Sakamoto to create several new compositions together, do two fall workshops and perform in spring 2021 at Arthur Zankel Music Center. 

Siobhan HartSiobhan M. Hart, associate professor and chair of anthropology, published an article, 鈥溾 in a special issue of the Archaeological Papers of the American Anthropological Association focused on contemporary feminist approaches to archaeological heritage practice.
