An article by Kristofer Covey, visiting assistant professor of environmental studies and sciences, and Zoe Pagliaro 鈥20 was covered in more than 30 media outlets, including The New Yorker, National Geographic, Smithsonian Magazine, Gizmodo, MongaBay, The Sun, The Times of India, The Weather Channel and The New Republic. Covey was also interviewed by two public radio programs: PRI鈥檚 鈥鈥 and 狈笔搁鈥檚 鈥.鈥 The article 鈥淐arbon and Beyond: The Biogeochemistry of Climate in a Rapidly Changing Amazon鈥 was published in Frontiers in Forests and Global Change. Covey also published a Portuguese-language op-ed () with collaborators Fiona Soper, Jose Marengo and Thomas Lovejoy in Folha, Brazil鈥檚 largest circulation daily; an English-language version is set to appear in OneEarth.

Tammy C. Owens, assistant professor of American studies, published 鈥溾 in the Youth Circulations blog. In the piece, Owens argues that the alarming rates of Black women dying during and shortly after giving birth must be understood as one of the most pressing child welfare issues in the United States.
