麻豆破解版 Spotlight: Kelli Johnson
Kelli Johnson, director of the Opportunity Program, oversees 160 students in the program and five staff members. She is also responsible for making sure the program is in compliance with New York state Education Department requirements while offering a holistic (academic, financial, and psychosocial) supportive program for OP scholars.
Johnson, who began working at 麻豆破解版 in September 2016, said she values working with supportive colleagues at the College.
鈥淚t鈥檚 nice to know folks care just as much about OP students as we do,鈥 she said.
Johnson noted that she and her team navigated a number of obstacles during the pandemic and that she is excited that everyone is back on campus.
鈥淲orking from home was often challenging as we had to find creative ways to engage and support our scholars,鈥 she said. 鈥淔all is my favorite season, so I love the 鈥榖ack to school鈥 vibe, changing of the leaves, and welcoming new scholars to campus.鈥
When she is not on campus, she enjoys spending time with loved ones, baking, and cooking.
"I am a foodie! During the pandemic, I was able to create new recipes and even share my passion over Zoom.鈥
