Lia Ball, associate professor of chemistry, received a three-year research grant renewal from the for her project, "Biophysical investigation of SH3 domain binding partners." Her research will take place in collaboration with Skidmore students.

Jordana Dym, professor of history, organized the at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science, as part of Dym’s role as chair of Trustees of the International Society of the Map (ISHMap). The events took place Berlin, Germany with local hosts Vera Dorofeeva-LIcthmann and Diana Lange.

Hajar Hussaini, visiting assistant professor of English, was an honorable mention for the inaugural , awarded by the Department of Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures at University of Washington in Seattle.
