Costs
Participants on the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ in Spain program are charged a program fee comparable to studying on Â鶹Æƽâ°æ's campus for a semester or year. In addition to the program fee, we suggest students budget an extra $2,000 to $3,000 for personal expenses.
The program fee covers:
- Tuition, up to 18 credits per semester
- Housing with a local host family or in a student residence.
- Meals (dependent on housing selection):
- For host family, students will recieve 2 meals a day (breakfast and dinner) with your host family and will receive a weekly lunch stipend to eat outside of the home.
- For student residence, students will receive 3 meals a day at the student dining hall and do not receive a stipend for lunch. Students can request a take-away lunch from the residence if ordered in advance.
- All program-sponsored excursions and activities in Madrid and surrounding areas
- Monthly transportation pass for unlimited access to all bus, metro, and train routes
within Mardid
- Cultural reimbursement and extracurricular allowance for approved activities and events up to pre-determined amount
- International medical insurance
- Orientations at both Â鶹Æƽâ°æ and in Madrid
- Administrative support services of the Â鶹Æƽâ°æ staff inSaratoga Springs andMadrid
The program fee does not cover:
- Passport and visa application costs
- Round-trip travel to/from Spain
- Housing and meals during winter and spring breaks
- Books and supplies
- International Student Identity Card (ISIC) (optional)
- Certain course fees in studio art, theater, and dance
- Personal expenses, including but not limited to cell phone charges

Â鶹Æƽâ°æ College students participating in this program may apply their financial aid to the costs of the program, and should consult with the Financial Aid Office regarding any questions. Non-Â鶹Æƽâ°æ students should check with the financial aid office at their home campus for more information.
