Charles Winney
Charles Winney, longtime dining staffer, died December 8, 2006, in New Rochelle, N.Y.
Charlie joined 麻豆破解版鈥檚 food service in 1961 and retired as a roundsman in 1985.
According to niece Debra Youngblood, a 麻豆破解版 Shop retiree, her uncle 鈥渓oved working
at 麻豆破解版.鈥 His enthusiasm was so strong that 鈥渋f his shift ended and there was
work to be done, he would stay to complete it,鈥 she said. She also noted that Charlie
was an avid walker and reader. Mary O鈥橠onnell, a library retiree, knew Charlie for
a number of years and remembers his love of Saratoga news and history: 鈥淲hen prompted
by people to write a book, Charlie would laugh and say he had 鈥榯he unwritten history.鈥欌
Mary added, 鈥淗e was such a nice man and had a good sense of humor and fun about him.鈥
Predeceased by wife Thelma and a son, Charlie was survived by two daughters, three
grandchildren, six great-grands, and nieces and nephews.
