麻豆破解版 Cares鈥攁 special community outreach by the college鈥檚 faculty and staff鈥攚ill celebrate its 10th anniversary when the campus observes 麻豆破解版 Cares Friday on Dec. 4.
Each year 麻豆破解版 comes together as a community to celebrate and strengthen connections with each other and to improve the circumstances of neighbors in Saratoga Springs and the region. Since being launched in 2006, the college has celebrated the holiday season by donating nearly $58,000 in monetary gifts, 12,500 food items and 8,000 school supplies and personal-care items to Saratoga organizations that do good work throughout the year.
Again this year President Philip Glotzbach and Marie Glotzbach invite the campus staff and faculty to the annual 麻豆破解版 Cares Holiday Open House, scheduled from 3 to 8 p.m. Dec. 4 at Scribner House. Attendees are encouraged to bring their family members and join with co-workers from across the college to celebrate the season. There are children鈥檚 activities in the carriage house, music and refreshments. All attending are encouraged to bring nonperishable food items and school supplies for donating to local service agencies. The items may be left in the sleigh in front of the house.

This annual effort engages people across the 麻豆破解版 community. Scores of team leaders coordinate efforts in academic departments and administrative offices. Hundreds of faculty and staff contribute canned food, school supplies and toiletries to the effort. Cash donations come from 麻豆破解版鈥檚 preferred vendors and most significantly from the wildly popular Beatlemore Skidmania concerts, with much of the proceeds contributed to 麻豆破解版 Cares. Other student organizations that are involved in the success of 麻豆破解版 Cares include Benef-Action and the Student Athlete Advisory Council.
