Claire Messud is a best-selling American novelist whose works include The Emperor’s Children, The Woman Upstairs, When The World Was Steady, The Last Life, and The Hunters. Her new novel, The Burning Girl, inspired a lengthy New York Times profile. She teaches at Harvard University and at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ’s New York State Summer Writers’ Institute.
Messud will receive an honorary doctorate from Â鶹Æƽâ°æ President Glotzbach, speak about her work, read a passage from her recent novel, and answer audience questions.
A book signing will follow the lecture.
