2024 FAFSA Delays

Information for First-Year Applicants

Â鶹Æƽâ°æ is continuing to monitor communication from the Department of Education regarding the ongoing delays with the FAFSA. You can monitor the status of 2024-2025

We are carefully monitoring FAFSA delays and will continue to support students in making informed enrollment choices. If you are an admitted student who applied for financial aid, please monitor your email for updates from Â鶹Æƽâ°æ Financial Aid. Additional information about support and flexibility will be communicated to admitted students when decisions are released.

FAQs

If you are a recently admitted student, please navigate to your Admitted Student Portal for details on registering for the Virtual Understanding your Financial Aid Offer on Wednesday, March 27, at 7:00 p.m. EDT.

Additionally, admitted students may email finaid@skidmore.edu and book a virtual appointment to speak with Financial Aid on March 20, March 27, April 3, or April 10 during the hours of 1:00-4:00 p.m. EDT. If these times do not work for you or your family, please indicate that you need to book an alternative time and a member of the Financial Aid team will be happy to assist you.

Delays in submitting or updating the FAFSA based on these technical issues will not affect an aid determination or the amount that financial aid eligible students will receive. At Â鶹Æƽâ°æ, only the CSS profile (not the FAFSA) is needed upon application to receive a financial aid offer.

We understand that the disruption caused by the FAFSA delay could have a significant impact on students’ ability to determine which school they’d like to attend. Our Admissions team is ready to extend flexibility beyond the May 1 enrollment reply deadline for students who are unable to make an enrollment decision due to missing or incomplete financial aid offers from other institutions. Additional information will be communicated to admitted students regarding this process when decisions are released.

If you applied for financial aid, you will receive your financial aid offer via your Applicant Portal when you receive your admission decision.

Please watch our recent , director of financial aid, for more information on Â鶹Æƽâ°æ’s financial aid.

Please contact finaid@skidmore.edu for any questions or issues related to your application for financial aid. Any other questions about your admissions application can be directed to admissions@skidmore.edu.
