Guest Artists
In addition to our exceptional faculty & staff, students are regularly exposed to an impressive roster of guest artists and choreographers who represent a broad spectrum of the dance world. The Dance Department hosts annual workshops, master classes, guest lectures, and artist residencies where students learn from the work of historic and internationally acclaimed artists as well as contemporary innovators who are currently defining the professional field.
The Dance Department has proudly performed the works of historically significant choreographers
such as Lev Ivanov, Marius Petipa Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, Merce Cunningham,
and Paul Taylor, as well as the work of current innovators such as Steven Petronio,
Brian Reeder, Robert Battle, Jawole Willa Jo Zollar, Sidra Bell, Brian Brooks, and
Ohad Naharin. Guest artists and residencies are a critical part of the Dance Department’s
commitment to delivering a diverse and comprehensive dance education—honoring past,
present, and future.
