- Betty (Boyer) Platt, who supported several academic departments at Â鶹Æƽâ°æ for two decades, died Jan. 29, 2021. She was 98.
- Professor of Chemistry Emerita Eleanor Samworth, who worked for gender equality among Â鶹Æƽâ°æ faculty and in the field of chemistry and helped establish the College's physics major, died on Saturday, Aug. 6, 2022. She was 86.
- Paul H. L. Walter, a former chair of the Chemistry Department who served in national leadership positions in both the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) and the American Chemical Society (ACS), died June 25, 2023.
